Dancing on the edge of truth – the battle between hope and doubt. We’ve all done it at one time or another. Deep within us we know there is something more. We notice it in others or perhaps it’s that quiet voice inside that tugs at our heart and whispers “Don’t Settle”.

Cafecito – Where It All Began
Maggie Sabatier-Smith June 20, 2021Where it all began… Before I go there let’s talk about today.
Do you have someone in your life that is unexpected? An unlikely confidant?
Someone who meets you at your place of need?
Someone who accepts you “as is” in the middle of your life struggles?

Maggie Sabatier-Smith October 27, 2020Do you have a favorite pair of shoes? You’ve worn them so often that they’ve lost that perfect fit. Perhaps the lining has loosened and rubs against your skin causing irritation and maybe even pain. The fashion conscious may have purchased shoes that were in style but too tight; you just had to have them. Your plan was to stretch them out during short painful walks.

Maggie Sabatier-Smith July 10, 2020Drinking from a fire hose. Not a very original expression but it perfectly describes these past three days at the Speak Up Conference. Full to overflowing, I find it difficult to end this day. A mountaintop experience I just want to

Maggie Sabatier-Smith July 9, 2020Vision Leads… What do your eyes of faith see? Are you willing to take that next step?
The last few days have been a time of refueling – spiritually and mentally. Also, a time to explore next steps in my ministry.

For as long as I can remember my dream was to become a writer. What does that look like? Why a writer? To be honest, I never thought beyond those words. I just knew that I had to write. It was in the doing that purpose would show up. I guess if I looked behind the curtain (my wall of insecurity), I would admit that I wanted to be published. While I set out to hope – to believe for what I cannot see in the present – admittedly there have been times when giving up seemed like a better choice. Faith carries me through those rough patches. Experience tells the story and confirms that everything is going to be alright. I pray for it, wait for it and believe it.

Maggie Sabatier-Smith July 2, 2020I was thinking… My thoughts meandered through a maze of uncertainty. Some were facts. Most were questions. Too much thinking but not enough of the good thoughts – all of this was taking me down a path that would only lead to a victim mentality. But then God – a diversion – I started to recall that He said I have a purpose and that it matters and that I am to do something about it. He promised.

Maggie Sabatier-Smith April 1, 2020Every adventure has a day one – that moment when you know your life is about to change. I’m talking about the adventures we plan, the ones that begin to take shape in our mind. At first it may simply be a hint of an idea – of an outcome – of a destination. Inside, joy, expectation and perhaps a bit of fear begin to bubble up. Ideas come and go as the adventure gains more clarity and purpose. Change is on the horizon and there’s a voice inside that clamors, “Bring it!”
I’m told that I use the term adventure often and for a variety of reasons.

Maggie Sabatier-Smith June 11, 2019We ask God for open doors. He complies but we just don’t recognize it. We ask for a sign. Imagine a bright shining light on the doorknob and still… we hesitate to open the door. Seriously – what are we waiting for? A personal escort? Guess what – we have ONE. He promises He will be with us always. He said: “…And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.” –Matt 28:20 TPT
