While We Wait… Treadmill Faith

Treadmill Faith takes me through, under, over and around the obstacles that rise to try to silence my voice, my purpose.  How to describe it? These words come to mind:  relentless, persevering, doubtless, confident, unending, bold, purposed, steadfast, solitary, repetitious, challenging.

Treadmill speaks to those times when we are “waiting” for God’s answer

When God Whispers… An Unexpected Detour

What a morning!  During the busyness of multi-tasking, the Lord shows up for me in a gentle whisper. I stop everything, grab my journal and wait – knowing full well that I’m about to receive a Heavenly download. It was an unexpected detour in an otherwise very structured day.

So much to do, I leave tomorrow for a Women’s weekend retreat. My internal Mary and Martha are at odds with each other.  Perhaps you know their story…

Procrastination… All About You!

“Enough already!” …said Coach Maggie to herself this morning. “#Stop wasting time!”

Procrastination – There are days when I give myself permission to meander through the morning… allowing inspiration and creativity some space to thrive. Then there are other days when I catch myself procrastinating… knowing full well that I have a task to accomplish and doing everything possible to avoid it.

Who can relate? Am I the only one wasting time? Well… today is my writing day. Have I mentioned that God is birthing a book in me? It’s quite the adventure this writing business. It takes you places you never imagined you would go. More about that below…

Journal Thoughts… Healing a Hurting Heart

Feeling lost and without purpose?  Isolated?  Autoimmune issues often separate me from others – or perhaps I allow it.  In the midst of a recent episode I chose to read past journals.  I found healing there.  I pray for those of you who may need that special touch today – that my transparency might bring healing to you as well. Join me as I meander through my thoughts seeking and finding clarity and healing.

Mind Your Own Calling

Have you ever seen a hawk in action?  They roam the airways always attentive to what matters most to them – prey. We have a couple of resident hawks on our property. I had the privilege of witnessing a hawk swoop down to capture a snake. Suspicious of my presence, he perched on a tree branch – snake secure in his claws – watching me attentively. Dog leash in one hand

Catapulted! Out of my Comfort Zone

Catapulted! Have you ever experienced a God promotion? Those times when you feel He has moved you to the front of the line?

Out of my comfort zone! God’s call came through loud and clear in prison. What? Yes. I met Carol Kent, the founder and director of the Speak Up Conference at a Toastmasters Gavel Club event at Hardee Correctional, a men’s prison.

What road to take – Sometimes I just don’t know

Sometimes I don’t know which road I should take.  It gets especially challenging when I allow the voices of past failures to challenge my plans for a New Beginning – or perhaps a Do Over!

My 2015 year-end sabbatical came early.  Early Fall after a cross-country RV adventure, I came face-to-face with all the exits and detours that had slowly moved me away from God’s next best step in my life.  Yes, even good choices can keep us from God’s BEST choice.  Facing your choices,
