This! What if This

I was thinking… My thoughts meandered through a maze of uncertainty. Some were facts. Most were questions. Too much thinking but not enough of the good thoughts – all of this was taking me down a path that would only lead to a victim mentality. But then God – a diversion – I started to recall that He said I have a purpose and that it matters and that I am to do something about it. He promised. “For I know the plans I have for you…” –Jer 29:11 NIV Then my life verse came to mind: “But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.” –Isaiah 40:31 TPT

And Walk Through Life Without Giving Up

In this year of the Pandemic, I wonder how many have been tempted to just give up on their dreams – their purpose – God’s promises. But those who wait… is our impatience for answers causing us to doubt? Are we done waiting? Have we let God know His time is up?

This! What if This

But wait, what if this is our moment? What if like Queen Esther we have been prepared for such a time as this? (read Esther 4:14) What if this is our mission field?

It’s been four months of surprises and not very pleasant ones. Are we done reacting and ready now to consider how we might better prepare ourselves for what is to come next? What if we are standing exactly where God needs us today? I’ve heard it said, “The need is the call.” What needs speak to your heart?

There are those in my inner circle that would recognize these questions – questions I’ve asked myself. “Maggie – is God speaking to you through these circumstances? Inviting you to pay attention? What more do you need before you get that this is a Call to Action?”

Do You See What He Sees?

In the last two weeks the Lord has opened my eyes. He’s broken my heart on behalf of His children. He’s ordering my steps – one at a time. It’s a beginning.

To be honest, I prayed for that. I strongly suggested (using extraordinary amounts of attitude) that if there was no purpose for me anymore, that He take me home to be with Him. My prayers changed me – they made room in my mind, heart and spirit for whatever God has planned for me.

Is it time for you to ask to see what He sees – to look around with a different set of eyes? Perhaps, like me, you already know but have been stuck in indecision. What are you waiting for?
