Dancing on the Edge of Truth – Don’t Settle

Dancing on the edge of truth – the battle between hope and doubt. We’ve all done it at one time or another.  Deep within us we know there is something more. We notice it in others or perhaps it’s that quiet voice inside that tugs at our heart and whispers “Don’t Settle”.

Hope Changes Everything

Hope opens the door to opportunities we might not otherwise see. While I set out to hope – to believe for what I cannot see in the present – admittedly there have been times when giving up seemed like a better choice. Faith carries me through those rough patches. Experience tells the story and confirms that everything is going to be alright.  I pray for it, wait for it and believe it.

Your Door. Open It.

We ask God for open doors.  He complies but we just don’t recognize it. We ask for a sign. Imagine a bright shining light on the doorknob and still… we hesitate to open the door. Seriously – what are we waiting for? A personal escort? Guess what – we have ONE. He promises He will be with us always. He said: “…And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.” –Matt 28:20 TPT

Let’s Get Personal. (uh-oh)

Sharing the Messy Places in My Life…

I did not see this coming. I often share that if it weren’t for my imperfections, I would not have a speaking or writing platform. Never before have I shared while in the midst of my own personal storm. Hooked on happy endings, I’ve waited for God to bring the victory. Today I open up even more of my heart and share a different kind of victory. I pray you be encouraged and that God be glorified in my sharing.

Someone is Dying to Hear…

Someone is dying to hear what you have to say”, these are words I shared with a fellow writer recently. Most know the idiomatic expression – dying to – means to be very eager. It’s a light and carefree expression that speaks of enthusiasm and anticipation.

But what if it were true? What if there was someone who was dying emotionally, spiritually, or physically, and you held the key to their very next decision?

That Place In Between – Now What?

Year-end holidays are over; a new year has begun. Many resume their daily routines. Yet others find themselves in that place in between. Unsettled they rummage through the pieces of their life, trying to find some order and purpose to it all. Worry tries to rob them of any forward movement – any steps toward God’s best for them.

I’ve been in that now what? place – more than once in my life. Heart-broken, disappointed and lacking self-confidence I stumbled through false starts.

Mind Your Own Normal – Fall in Love Again Part 4

My new normal, is a popular expression that implies that what once was out of the norm is now considered normal. It’s about changes. We change our mind – how we see things. We change our actions – new habits, behaviors, where we live, who we live with and so much more. These changes can happen to us or we can choose to make them happen. The result is the same – life as we knew it is no longer.

Every positive change in your life begins with a clear, unequivocal decision that you are going to either do something or stop doing something. ~ Anonymous
