What is Coaching?

Many of us have become experts at avoiding the real issues blocking our success. Coaching questions often get to the heart of the matter quickly. As a coach, I’m trained to ask those break-through question.

Great question! Many clients have found themselves knowing they need to make changes, yet not clear on where to start. Coaching addresses this.

This depends on your goal(s) and how quickly you choose to work through them. Most assignments last about 3 months. At that point, the client typically takes off completing her goals. She often returns for the next phase on her journey and repeats the process. Very targeted assignments may only take one month. e.g. One client wanted help preparing her presentation for a major client. Her goal was to alter her presentation style so that it covered the variety of personalities and interests of her audience. She was ready in 4 weeks! Some clients just need help brainstorming a project, a major life decision, etc. This might take one or two sessions.

We offer a variety of packages depending on your goals.

  • Free introductory 20 minute session – This allows both the Coach and the client to determine whether they are a good fit. We invite you to come prepared with a specific topic in order to get the maximum benefit from the call. May provide some initial clarity on next steps.
  • Introductory 3 (30 minute)Session Coaching Package with Personality Profile Training – Not sure if coaching is for you? Take advantage of the discounted 3 (30 minute)session Introductory Coaching Package. You will walk away with a clear understanding of your personality and how it affects your circles of influence. You will learn how to communicate in the language of personality so that you are better heard and understood. You will come away with clarity and order about what matters most to you. Just say NO! You’ll be able to say no to those areas that don’t fit in with your identified priorities. Depending on your goals for the 3rd session, you may walk away with a high-level personal development plan.
  • Monthly Coaching Package includes 3 (45 minute) Coaching Sessions — The structure of these calls is dependent on your goals.

It’s about the fresh new perspective that results when we tap into the co-creative potential of each team member.  The “co” in co-creative is about collaboration. As each person contributes, ideas build – one upon the other – until suddenly we have what I call the AH-HA moment.  Someone takes hold of all the contributions, sees clearly and summarizes it for the group.  It’s not about “who” finally has that point of clarity, because without the contributions, this particular idea would not occur.  The TEAM in this case is the Genius, not the individual.

Coaching Is a confidential ongoing relationship between a coach and a person who desires coaching. It is designed to address issues the person being coached would like to consider. These could include (but are not limited to) career development, relationshjip enhancement, spiritual growth, lifestyle management, life balance, decision making, and achieving short-term or long-term goals.

It can involve brainstorming, values clarification, the completion of written assignments, education, goal-setting, identifying plans of action, accountability, making requests, agreements to change behavior, examining lifestyles, and questioning. Coaching takes place over scheduled telephone or video conference calls lasting anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
