Hope opens the door to opportunities we might not otherwise see. While I set out to hope – to believe for what I cannot see in the present – admittedly there have been times when giving up seemed like a better choice. Faith carries me through those rough patches. Experience tells the story and confirms that everything is going to be alright. I pray for it, wait for it and believe it.
Even as I type, I hear fireworks in the distance. I notice that no matter how challenging this year has been, hope remains in many of our hearts. We come together to celebrate the birth of our nation. We celebrate what it stands for –Freedom. I end this day with a prayer – it’s all I have for you – it’s the best I have for you.
Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of American Independence – our freedom. We took ownership of our lives and said this is who we are and how we choose to live.
I was thinking… My thoughts meandered through a maze of uncertainty. Some were facts. Most were questions. Too much thinking but not enough of the good thoughts – all of this was taking me down a path that would only lead to a victim mentality. But then God – a diversion – I started to recall that He said I have a purpose and that it matters and that I am to do something about it. He promised.
Why is it that we often save our best hopes and dreams for Someday? …without a firm commitment – a definite YES! – Someday will never deliver on its promises. Today is Day #1 of my commitment to blog daily for the next 90 days. Get it done Maggie!
Every adventure has a day one – that moment when you know your life is about to change. COVID-19 happened to us – not an adventure any of us would have chosen, nevertheless we must deal with it. How do we live our lives amid all this uncertainty?
Pray + Listen + Act. We ask God for open doors. He complies but we just don’t recognize it. We ask for a sign. Imagine a bright shining light on the doorknob and still… we hesitate to open the door. Seriously – what are we waiting for?
