For as long as I can remember my dream was to become a writer. What does that look like? Why a writer? To be honest, I never thought beyond those words. I just knew that I had to write. It was in the doing that purpose would show up. I guess if I looked behind the curtain (my wall of insecurity), I would admit that I wanted to be published. I wanted my words to matter – to make a difference in someone’s life.

We Took Ownership

A quiet 4^th of July is in the works at our house. One of the blessings from this Pandemic season has been the time my husband and I get to spend together. Given the choice of heading out for a cook-out elsewhere, we opted to stay home at La Casita – our own little oasis – away from all the crazy stuff going on in the world.

Core values matter…. they’re not seasonal; they are not branding; they are commitments made in integrity to ourselves and to God.

It is easy for Business Owners to get lost in the latest trend of “what sells”. On the internet we look to Google to tell us what people are looking for, what matters most to the majority. Often leaders use their core values as a rallying point for their employees. Some marketers believe that your website should clearly display the truths that your company stands on. Others, focused on political correctness, suggest that we stay away from being too vocal about what matters most.
