Aging is a given. Life without purpose and meaning is not. You wouldn’t show up at your job and just hang around until it was time to go home –just filling space. Jesus tells us in John 10:10 that He came that we would have and enjoy life – in abundance – to overflowing. So, I ask, how’s life working for you? When you walk into a room, do you know that you make a difference? Is your abundance showing or are you just taking up space?
And now I’ll do what’s best for me… Some “cringe” at the sound of that. You believe that putting yourself first is . I’ve been there. At an early age I heard these messages “don’t be selfish, be more or not good enough” I learned to give beyond what was reasonable. It became a habit. But now… I’ll do what’s best for me – because God said so.
