I took a walk down memory lane this morning in search of an old post in my Life Coach Maggie Facebook Page. This took me down several bunny trails – some of you, like me, travel those trails frequently. As happens often, I got distracted and quite frankly can’t remember what I was searching for to begin with. Instead, I ran across one of my early live Facebook videos. While still an amateur at this, I chose to share it here because the message is worth repeating.
Is it time to empty your Whatever folder? I just deleted some spam from the Blog comment folder and it triggered this question. As I watched my own video I was challenged to dig deep into my own story and take inventory of all the times I say “whatever” when in fact the subject is important. Whatever is that place where we have given up – that place where we wonder, “What’s the use?”. It’s also an expression we use for things that don’t matter. The key is to identify those times when it’s not a “whatever” moment but in fact, our opinion matters and needs to be shared. It may instead me a time where your response should be, “That’s just not acceptable” or as I said in the video “Oh no you don’t!” I invite you to take a few minutes (it’s not long), watch the video, and then consider if it’s time for you to empty your Whatever folder.
