It’s About Priorities.

Coach Me, Please | Part 1

“I just don’t have enough time,” you say while silently sighing from the very depths of your heart. No one is listening because you decided there’s no need to share that, “Someday I will << fill in your dream or goal>>.” You simply can’t seem to find the time or worse, your goals are buried so deep in yesterday they don’t even cross your mind.

Life has a way of taking over and forcing us into daily routines. As much as we might like to move toward our dreams, we often find ourselves reacting to external influences, and essentially feel like we are walking in place.

Consider this: It’s not that you don’t have the time. Perhaps you have made other choices with your time. Consciously or unconsciously you’ve made a decision that something else was more important.

“It’s good to work on Good Things but it’s Better to work on Best Things.” – Coach Maggie

Good. Better. Best.

How do you spend your time? If you were to take inventory of how you spend your time, what story would your results tell? Take a few minutes and list by category where you think you spend your time. For each category provide one of the labels: Good, Better or Best [choice].

What matters most to you? Begin with the activities you just classified as BEST and prioritize them. Now, trim down the list to the top three areas that matter most to you. Observe the remaining items. Are they your choices or someone else’s choices?

The Coaching Process Starts Here.

The power of saying “No” to less-than-best choices shows up when you have a clear picture of your YES - your Best Choices – your Priorities. Invest in yourself and take the time to answer the questions covered in this post. Regardless of your future goals, it’s important to begin with a clear understanding of your current reality – take the time to capture that as well.

Ready to fast-track your goals? Having difficulty trimming down priorities? Need some clarification?
