What’s In Your Tool Box?

“You are on a fast-track to success and have taken some shortcuts to reach your goals.  Those forgotten underused tools are suddenly wreaking havoc in your day-to-day.  It may be time to resurface them.”

About you

  • You are an entrepreneur, a direct sales marketer, a corporate professional or possibly in career transition.
  • You have done your homework and have equipped yourself with the proper education and experience to succeed.
  • You are on a fast-track and have prioritized what matters most.
  • You’ve taken some shortcuts… and forgotten some tools.

My handywoman toolbox

A few years ago my husband presented me with my very own toolbox.  His words to me: “Ok, now you have your own tool box.”  On his way out the door he says “you can only use the level and the tape measure”.  Seriously?   A perfectionist, he is fussy about the details in our home and he knows I’m not as detailed or precise.  I just want it done! A picture hook, a good eye for location and a hammer… done!  Shortcut taken!

What shortcuts have you taken? Your forgotten tools?

What essential tools have you pushed to the bottom of your arsenal?  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be talking about those shortcuts, the “forgotten” tools. I’ll update this post with links to the various articles.

For today, let’s start with Silence.   Is silence in your tool box?

”Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom.”  Francis Bacon

When is the last time you spent some time just listening to the world around you?  Conversations thrive when good listeners get together.  Go back in time and listen to that inner voice that spoke to you about your dreams, your future and what mattered most to you.

How will you use your silence to refuel, refocus and recommit?  Share your thoughts with us – let’s work together to resurface our forgotten tools.
