Ignite the fire that fuels your future.
Motivated by… In his blog post, "The Problem with the Unlimited", Seth Godin writes about setting limits as a motivator. He suggests that while some will work to the limit and not go any farther, many more will “up their game”.

Yes, you guessed it. I am an NASDS (now called SSI) certified diver. Admittedly, I did it afraid. From a N.J. quarry to the Cayman Islands, I pushed the edge of my comfort zone and was rewarded with extraordinary underwater vistas. While he chose to dive deeper and farther, I was satisfied with the world that opened up to me in 30 feet of water.
On the other hand, you’ll hear tell that women struggled for equality in the workplace in the 70’s (some say that continues today). I didn’t know there was a ceiling on my success; I just succeeded.
My motivation triggers have changed over the years. Yes, I still like to go after a challenge but I choose to focus on the ones that support my mission and vision. As a Leadership Coach, Making a difference in people’s lives has taken the lead over solving complex technical problems.
“Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks.”
~ Johann Gottfried Von Herder
