I recently returned from a business trip held at a retreat center called Whispering Hope.  It was “up North” as we like to say in the South. The weather was perfect… clear blue skies; cool enough for a jacket; warm inviting fireplaces at night; leaves changing.  A parade of childhood memories marched through my mind as I celebrated the change of place and pace.

Why do I live in Florida? I absolutely LOVE the change of seasons – the variety and richness of each season!

I was blessed to find an unusually cool day awaited me in Florida. It eased the transition back.  Re-energized, creative juices flowing, I returned with a longing for the holidays, for family gatherings and the joy of reconnecting with friends. It’s the true spirit of the holidays that I came away with. That was mid-October!

I met some special ladies on my trip… genuine, intelligent, joy and hope-filled women who are living their lives on purpose. I absolutely am drawn to positive thinkers – people who live a life that matters and honors God in the process.  They walk with their eyes focused on today and tomorrow.   Like many of us, I’m sure there is some drama and trauma in their history, but they still CHOOSE to walk in confidence - lessons learned and stored in their wisdom vault equipping them to make better decisions on their journey. Their past is their fuel on this journey. I am encouraged and so very proud to be associated with them.

As I write this it has occurred to me that I am describing my  Walking It Out Ezine community of readers!  I am lifting up an attitude of gratitude for each of you. May God continue to bless you on your journey!
