Branding… is it personal?

What role does Branding have in your business and/or your personal life?

Last week our Boardroom Leaders networking group took some time to discuss “Branding” and the role that it plays in our business. One of our members, Mike Long of CF Web Professionals expanded on it in a recent blog: Personal Branding. Great job Mike! Today, I want to piggy-back on what has been said and invite us to take a closer, more personal look.

Language plays an important part in helping to paint our personal picture. Unfortunately words and how we express them are often misunderstood. The internet has connected us globally. Culture, language and personality all contribute to different points of view.

Google – Truth Finder or Not? Authenticity

In the midst of a busy morning I was suddenly prompted to do a Google Search on my name as well as on Called To Action. Wow! We are everywhere it seems.

 

While certainly encouraging in terms of getting our name out on the cyber channels, it was also a bit unsettling.

Begin with the end in mind…

I've heard and said these words often yet they have never been as personally relevant as they are today.

While discussing the "life after high school" topic with my teenagers years ago, I would often say, "If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there." Of course I assumed they would see beyond these words and consider the possibility of missing their true destination if they did not become "intentional" about their future.
