Reactive to Strategic Choices

Take a Leadership S-t-r-e-t-c-h !

Leadership development includes bringing all aspects of your life into balance according to what matters most for “you." As a Coach, my goal is to help you find clarity in terms of your personal mission. I help you paint the vision and then develop the goals that will move you forward on your path.

It’s YOUR Call to Action… your choice.
What will S-T-R-E-T-C-H you beyond your comfort zone?
Surely this will take you outside your comfort zone and it may get a little messy on your way to where you’re going next.

It will also cause you to S-T-R-E-T-C-H toward your goals. While keeping your steady steps of faith with eyes focused, your vision will reward you in time.

My clients join me at different stages of their journey. Strategically they choose Read the rest of this entry »

Are you Operating in the Red?

Operating in the Red? Is this Your Call to Health?A Call to Health…

  • Successful Leaders are in the habit of tracking numbers.
Whether it be their personal bank and investment accounts or perhaps business sales and financial numbers… we schedule time to monitor and make decisions based on this information. Operating in the red, is not an option for a strategic leader.

  • Successful Leaders know how to take action. When alarms go off in our tracking systems, we know what steps to take and/or where to get help to turn things around and get back on track.

  • Successful Leaders know the difference between Reactive and Strategic actions
Leaders anticipate success by casting a vision, setting goals and implementing systems that report and monitor their progress. Sometimes results surprise us and we are forced to react quickly. Ideally, we have anticipated challenges and have a strategic back-up plan.

In the area of HEALTH, are you operating in the red?

Why is it that so many successful leaders are surprised Read the rest of this entry »

Let’s Kick it Up a Notch!

Rise above complacency!

 Life hijacks     >>>     We react.

Sometimes we have a plan that prepares us for the unexpected.

Sometimes, we don't.

Over time we become numb to the changes life brings. We find a routine that works for us. We are lulled into complacency and we stop expecting miracles in our life.

Is this you?

What does your routine look like?
o A few extra bites of food for comfort?
o An occasional shopping spree with money you don't have?
o Surrounding yourself with clutter camouflage?
o Shuffling papers at work; doing enough to just get by?
o Fill in your numbing routine of choice here: _______________________.

Breaking free from “Reactive” patterns!

Embrace a “strategic” approach to Break Free!

Overwhelmed by life’s rapid-fire challenges I found myself reading my own blog posts in search of an old friend. You see, I typically am inspired to write based on my own personal experience. Ah-ha moments are much like old friends – non-judgmental, they gently nudge me to make better choices.

Embrace Breakthrough : from Reactive to Strategic Choices!Last Friday I resurrected one of my blog posts “Out of Order”  published July 2010. I was disappointed to find that I had not continued to blog on how to make more strategic vs. reactive choices. Instead, I walked them out. Over the next few days, I'll share the steps that worked for me. In fact, I’ll be walking it out again.

Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks. ~ Johann Gottfried Von Herder

Let’s start with this…

What will motivate us to break free? In July of 2010 I blogged about that very question: Ignite the fire that fuels your future.

So, let’s do that! Let’s light the fire!

Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to think of a time when you were so focused on your destination, there was nothing that could hold you back.

Notice….

  • How did you spend your thoughts, your time or your resources?
  • Who was influencing you at the time?
  • How clear was your destination?
  • How did you measure success?
  • What habits contributed to your success?
  • What challenges did you face?

Let’s meet back in a couple of days. Feel free to comment on the experience here on the blog or you can track with me on our Called To Action fan page. Let’s make this happen!

From Reactive to Strategic… We coach leaders to greater levels of influence!
