Sometimes…. well, you just have to CELEBRATE!!

Change happens – no doubt about that.  It happens to us and sometimes we (you) create the change.  As a result of the change, you can choose to alter your next steps, or for many, just circle-back and let it happen all over again.  Been there?

Fear of Walnuts? Not so much…

Fear of Walnuts?  Not really.  But definitely FEAR OF HEIGHTS!! Several days ago we visited Walnut Canyon National Monument in Flagstaff, AZ.  It’s taken me several days to muster the courage to look at the pictures and share them here with you.  Those of you that share the same fear will totally relate – the rest of you… well, just enjoy the pictures. :)

It’s all about family…

An extra night in Tucson… priceless!  Creating precious memories with family as we did a bit of sight-seeing and sampled some of our family’s favorite foods.  More than anything it was about quality time together – my personal love language.   We leave today for Flagstaff as we continue our RV travel adventure but we leave behind the promise of future visits.

Your Health Matters! Now what?

Let's do this HEALTH thing!

Let’s do this HEALTH thing!

As a couple, Paul and I have made the commitment to live an on-purpose life – body, mind, spirit, finances. As we walk out our personal journey, we have also purposed to help others do the same. Anticipating a number of tempting food stops on our cross-country trip, we chose to “wear” our health message.

Boring? Not hardly!

Texas, Texas and more Texas. We were told the leg from San Antonio to El Paso would seem endless and uninteresting. Well…

My first impression was awe. This is God’s country – such diversity in nature. I was moved to pray … Our truck converted into what I affectionately call our Praise Mobile and we began to pray for so many on our prayer list. We were overwhelmed with God’s peace and presence. We had church! :)

It wasn’t too long after that we heard one of our tires blow.

Tire all gone!

Tire all gone!

Passed the 3-day Travel Test!

Three days, 5 states, almost 1200 miles and how many stops later?  We are still happily married and talking to each other.    Beagle Bailey wonders… Are we there yet?

Beagle Bailey sighs “Are we there yet?”

As many of our close friends have already guessed, we did not leave at 10 a.m. on Wednesday – but more like 12:30 pm.  Humidity held us captive as we pushed through to load our last minute items and go through our very detailed departure checklist.

RV Road Trip Take 4!

Never thought it would happen, but this NYC girl is about to embark on her 4th RV Travel Trailer camping experience this year.  My first camping experience was in the late 60′s – one I felt for sure would be my last.  But then one day…

As is usually the case with me, I started thinking out loud.  Thoughts unfiltered I was overheard by my Paul.  I felt a tug at my heart to visit our kids and grandkids who live in various parts of the country.  (We have a his, mine and somebody else’s family — 12 children and 22  grands.)  I wanted to stay a few days – but not at their place.  Instead, I wanted to stay somewhere where they could feel comfortable coming and going – where we could spend time away from their day-to-day.  I talked about a timeshare setting, possibly a hotel suite setting and yes, I even thought about renting a Camper.  I’m pretty sure I whispered that last option.  A few days later, Paul surprises me
